Huisarts belde gisteren laat in de middag terug, dat ze in overleg met de internist toch een ijzer infuus wil laten geven in het ziekenhuis, omdat de ijzertabletten te langzaam het ijzergehalte aan zullen vullen bij mij nu het zo laag is. Ook wil ze dat ik maandagmiddag bij haar terug kom zodat ze kan nakijken hoe het met de longontsteking is en of de medicatie aanslaat.
Vanmorgen belde het ziekenhuis al dat ik 28 december terecht kan voor het ijzerinfuus en op 11 januari kan ik bij de internist terecht. Ze zien dan ook of het ijzerinfuus zijn werk heeft gedaan.
My GP called back late yesterday afternoon to say that, in consultation with the internist, she would like to have an iron infusion given at the hospital, because the iron tablets will take too long to replenish my iron levels now that they are so low. She also wants me to come back to her on Monday afternoon so that she can check how the pneumonia is doing and whether the medication is working.
This morning the hospital called that I can go for the iron infusion on December 28 and I can see the internist on January 11. They then also see whether the iron infusion has done its job.
