Christmas Rose

Inmiddels is deel 4, Christmas Rose, van The Sampler Tree series ook af. Ik heb het meteen afgewerkt als een ornamentje, met wat sier kruissteekjes en 2 oude knoopjes. Het schaapje heb ik geborduurd met Wisper garen.

I finished part 4, Christmas Rose, of  The Sampler Tree series. I made it straight away into an ornament, with some decoration cross stitches and 2 old buttons. The sheep I stitched with Wisper thread.

Christmas Rose - Little House Needleworks

De natuur is helemaal van slag met dat warme weer, er zijn al enkele planten in de tuin opnieuw gaan bloeien.

Nature is realy upset with all the warm weather, there are a few plants in the garden that are blooming again.

Three Crowns

Ik ben onderhand een ster in het achterop raken met het maken van series, zo ook met deze serie van Little House Needleworks. Deel 1 en 2 maakte ik bijna direct nadat ik ze binnen kreeg, maar toen kwam de klad erin. Ach ja, ... ze lopen niet weg en inmiddels is deel 3 gemaakt.

I'm a star in falling behind with making series, also with this series from Little House Needleworks. Part 1 and 2 I stitched right away when I got them, but after that no more were stitched. Till now, ... part 3 is made.

Bovenin de kroon heb ik een "robijn" bevestigd, in de vorm van een rood kraaltje. Verder heb ik het afgewerkt met een rood stofje en een stuk jute zigzagband.

On top of the crown I attached a "ruby", in the form of a red bead. Furthermore I finished it with a red fabric and a piece of jute ric rac.

Oh Christmas Tree

Het 2e ornamentje uit The Sampler Tree serie (klik) van Little House Needleworks is Oh Christmas Tree.

De guirlande die de dames vasthouden hoort eigenlijk geborduurd te worden, maar ik heb er kraaltjes voor in de plaats bevestigd. Verder weer afgewerkt met een bijpassend stofje en hier en daar een paar kruissteekjes.

The garland that the ladies are holding should be cross stitched, but I sewed some beads instead. Again finished with some matching fabric and some cross stitches here and there.

Old Colonial

Old Colonial is het eerste ornamentje uit de nieuwe ornament serie van Little House Needleworks. Deze serie heet The Sampler Tree (klik) en elke maand komt er een nieuw patroon met een sampler thema.

De patroontjes worden geborduurd met het garen van Classic Colorworks, maar voor wie dat niet wilt, ... de kleuren om het met DMC te borduren staan er ook op.

Old Colonial is the first ornament from the new ornament series by Little House Needleworks. This series is called The Sampler Tree (click) and each month there is a new one with a sampler theme.

The patterns call for the threads of Classic Colorworks, but for the ones who doesn't stitch with these, ... the colors of DMC are also written on the pattern.

Ik heb het afgewerkt met een bijpassend stofje, hier en daar een paar kruisteekjes en een oud knoopje.

I finished it with a matching fabric, here and there some cross stitches and an old button.

Season of Hope

Na het borduren van het konijn uit het vorige bericht, had ik zin om nog een paar voorjaars werkjes te borduren. Ik begon met Season of Hope, dat is er een uit de 4-delige serie van Seasonal pillows (seizoenen kussens) van Little House Needleworks.

After stitching the rabbit from last post, I wanted to stitch more spring things. So I began with Season of Hope, one of a four part series of Seasonal pillows by Little House Needleworks.

Season of Hope - Little House Needleworks

Fabric: Edinburgh 36 ct. linen, color Sand (322)

Threads: Nina's Threads (Burgundy, Cigar, Grizzly, Hunter, Monstergreen, Caramel) and DMC (3052, 3740, 3781, 3861)

Het patroon wordt eigenlijk helemaal in DMC geborduurd, maar ik heb sommige kleuren vervangen door hand geverfde garens van Nina's Threads (klik). Onder bovenstaande foto zie je de kleuren staan die ik gebruikt heb.

The pattern is called for DMC threads, but I replaced some of them by hand-dyed threads from Nina's Threads (click). Under the picture above you can read the colors I used.

Dan ben ik ook nog druk geweest met het borduren van het kalender meisje maart van Little House Needleworks, maar deze moet ik nog afwerken.

I also been busy with stitching the Calendar girl March from Little House Needleworks, but I still have to finish it off.

 Het is niet allemaal lente wat ik aan het borduren ben ;-) Ik ben ook begonnen met het eerste ornamentje uit  The Sampler Tree serie van Little House Needleworks. Maar daarover meer als ik het afgewerkt heb.

It is not all spring that I stitch ;-) I also started the first ornament of The Sampler Tree series by Little House Needleworks. But more about that when I have finished it off.

En ben ik nu uit geborduurd? Neehoor, ... ik wil met deze serie beginnen.

Am I done with stitching? Not at all, ... I want to start with this series.

Het zijn 4 threadpacks, dat betekend dat bij het patroon ook het hand geverfde garen zit. Het is een seizoenen serie die de Saltbox Scripture series heet en ze zijn van (hoe kan het ook anders) Little House Needleworks.

These are 4 threadpacks, what means that beside the pattern there is also the hand-dyed threads included. It's a seasonal series and its called the Saltbox Scripture series by Little House Needleworks.

De eerste waarmee ik vandaag begin is Blessed are the Pure in Heart, die voor de lente staat.

Today I start with the first one and that is Blessed are the Pure in Heart, who  represents spring.
