Stitching and Quilting Party SAL

Na de konijntjes van de rechterkant, waren nu de borduursters met hun kat aan de beurt.

Onze tv was hard aan vernieuwing toe, dus gingen we van de week naar de plaatselijke winkel om een nieuwe te kopen. Wat een keus is er tegenwoordig, maar we zijn geslaagd en vanmiddag komen ze hem al brengen en installeren.

Omdat het WK er aan komt, kregen we ook een leren voetbal mee en op onderstaande foto's kun je zien we er ontzettend blij mee was ;-)

Our tv was ready for retirement, so we went this week to a local shop to buy a new one. There are so many you can choose from, but we found one and this afternoon the shop is going to bring it and install it.

Because WK football is beginning next week, we get a leather football  and on the pictures below you can see who was happy with it ;-)

Busy with stitching

Afgelopen zondag kregen we het 1e deel van de Stitching and Quilting Party SAL (klik) van Sara. Inmiddels heb ik de rechterkant van dit deel af en ik ben druk bezig met de linkerkant te borduren.

Last sunday we get the first part of the Stitching and Quilting Party SAL (click) from Sara. I stitched the right side of this part, now I'm stitching the left side.

Maandagmiddag en in de vroege avond waren we druk bezig in de tuin om alle planten in potten te zetten. Het oude kon eruit en het nieuwe erin. Bowy helpt dan graag zoals je kunt zien ;-)

Monday afternoon and in the early evening we were busy in the garden to put all the plants in pots. The old ones we took out and the new ones in. Bowy loves to help us as you can see ;-)

New SAL and quiltblocks

Toen Sara (klik) aankondigde dat ze met een nieuwe SAL ging starten die als titel "Stitching and Quilting Party" had, hoefde ik geen twee keer na te denken om mee gaan te doen. Haar vorige SAL's waren ook altijd even mooi en haar ontwerpen doen me aan Little House Needleworks denken.

When Sara (click) announced that she was going to start a new SAL with the title "Stitching and Quilting Party" I didn't had to think twice to join. Her last SAL's are beautiful and her designs remind me of Little House Needleworks.

Ik schreef me meteen in voor de nieuwe SAL die op 1 juni al gaat starten. Daar het weer een grote wordt (278 x 265 steken), ga ik deze borduren op 40 ct. vintage beige met 1 draadje DMC. De DMC kleuren komen mooi uit op deze stof.

I joined in the fun for the new SAL which starts on June 1. Because it will be a large piece again (278 x 265 stitches), I'm going to stitch it on 40 ct. vintage mocha with 1 thread of DMC. The DMC colors came beautiful together with this fabric.

Het borduurgaren heb ik daarna meteen op bobbins gedraaid en in een doosje bij elkaar gedaan. Ik zit er klaar voor ;-) Mocht je ook zin hebben om mee te doen, HIER (klik) kun je je opgeven. Sara heeft ook een facebook groep (klik) geopend.

Voor de Antique Sampler van Sue Daley zijn er weer 3 blokjes gemaakt. Ik mag nu aan de allerlaatste 3 blokjes gaan beginnen !

For the Antique Sampler from Sue Daley I made 3 blocks. Now I can start on the 3 very last blocks for this quilt !
