De laatste dagen heb ik me voornamelijk bezig gehouden met het bouwen van een huis, een huis van een handwerkster. Het huis is inmiddels af, nu de rest nog want er komt nog meer op de lap te staan. Dit is een patroon van Little House Needleworks en het heet: House of a needleworker (too!), wat betekent huis van een handwerkster twee. Dit omdat er ook een eerdere versie van verschenen is maar deze vind ik iets mooier van kleur. Dit patroon hoort gewoon in ons huis te hangen want handwerken speelt een grote rol in ons leven.
The last few days I have kept myself mainly busy with building a house, a house of a needleworker. The house is finished, now the rest of the pattern. This is a pattern of Little House Needleworks and it's called: House of a needleworker (too!). This pattern simply belongs in our house because needlework plays a large role in our life.
Gisteren kwam er ook nog leuke post. Ik had van een Amerikaanse dame die ook lid is van de yahoogroep van Diane (van LHN) een aantal patronen overgenomen. Het zijn allemaal patronen van Little House Needleworks die ik nog niet had en graag wilde.
Yesterday the postman brought me some nice mail. I had bought a number of patterns of an American lady which also is a member of the yahoogroup of Diane (of LHN) . They are all patterns of Little House Needleworks which I wanted but didn't have.

Maar dat was niet het enige wat de postbode bracht, want hij bracht ook mijn bestelling van Polstitches. Ik had daar handgeverfd stof besteld (en kreinik garen en kraaltjes) om de Daffodil fairy (narcissen fee) te borduren die in de nieuwste Cross Stitch Collection 193 staat. Ik vond haar meteen ontzettend mooi toen de ontwerpster Joan Elliott haar liet zien. Er komen 6 verschillende bloemen feeën.
But that was not the only thing what the mailman brought, because he also brought my order from Polstitches. I had orderd hand-painted fabric (and kreinik threads and beads) to stitch the Daffodil fairy which is published in the newest Cross Stitch Collection 193. I found her immediately beautiful when the designer Joan Elliott showed her. There are going to be 6 different flowers fairies.
De narcissen fee wordt op 28 ct jobelan geborduurd met de mooie naam Fairy Dreams. Op de foto ligt op het stof de kraaltjes en het kreinik garen die ook nodig zijn voor dit patroon.
The Daffodil fairy is to be stitch stitched on 28 ct jobelan with the beautiful name Fairy Dreams. On the photograph lies also the kreinik threads and beads which is also necessary for this pattern.
Ook had ik bij Polstitches een variety pack besteld, daarin zitten 3 stukken handgeverfd jobelan (hun keus) van elk 24 cm x 32 cm.
I also orderd by Polstitches a variety pack, that contains 3 pieces of hand dyed fabric (their choice) in the size 9" x 13".
