Orchard Valley Quilting Bee

Gisteren was het weer Sampler Sunday en dus werd er weer geborduurd aan de Orchard Valley Quilting Bee van Little House Needleworks. Ik heb hoofdzakelijk 's avonds geborduurd omdat we 's middags naar mijn zus zijn geweest die haar verjaardag vierde.

Yesterday it was again Sampler Sunday, so I could stitch on my Orchard Valley Quilting Bee from Little House Needleworks. I meanly stitch in the evening because in the afternoon we visit my sister who celebrated her birthday.

Sampler Sunday

Gisteren was het Sampler Sunday op de groep van Little House Needleworks, wat inhoudt dat je op zondag werkt aan een sampler. Ik hebt geborduurd aan de Orchard Valley Quilting Bee, want mijn laatste update was van 20 maart 2013 ...

En tot zover ben ik gekomen gisteren ...

Ik borduur deze sampler op 40 ct. Vintage Beige linnen met 1 draadje DMC.

I stitch this sampler on 40 ct. Vintage Mocha linen with 1 thread DMC.

Busy, busy, busy ...

De lente is nog ver weg, want toen ik vanmorgen op stond, kwam er weer volop sneeuw naar beneden en dat doet het nog steeds.

Spring is still far away. When I woke up this morning, again snow was falling and it still is.

Verder ben ik druk met enkele borduurtjes bezig, want gisteren heb ik de nieuwe maandelijkse patroontjes weer besteld, dus ik moet voort maken :-) 

Het eerste werkje uit de nieuwe serie: Hometown Holiday Series van LHN is klaar maar ik moet het nog afwerken tot een kubus (als me dat lukt). Deze patroontjes gaan een hele stad in kerstsfeer worden en het eerste was natuurlijk My House (mijn huis) waar je dan je achternaam op kon borduren.

I'm very busy with several stitchings, because yesterday I ordered the new monthly patterns, so I have to hurry up :-)

The first from the new series: Hometown Holiday Series from LHN is done, I only have to make it into a cube (if I manage that). These patterns are going to be a town in christmas time and the first one was My House where you can stitched down your surname.

Colors as charted, except for the white, that is DMC Blanc

Tussendoor werk ik ook aan de Orchard Valley Quilting Bee van LHN omdat dit een groter patroon is. Ik ben in het midden begonnen en het eerste gedeelte van de quilt staat erop. Ik borduur het op 40 ct. Vintage Beige linnen (8 kruisjes per cm) met 1 draadje DMC, zodat hij uiteindelijk niet al te groot wordt.

In between I work on the Orchard Valley Quilting Bee from LHN because this is a larger pattern. I started in the middle and the first part of the quilt is stitched. I'm working on 40 ct. Vintage Beige linen (8 cross stitches per cm) with 1 thread DMC, so that the pattern eventually will not be that large.

En om de lente aan te moedigen borduur ik tussendoor ook nog enkele "lente" patroontjes, waaronder deze die ik vandaag hoop af te krijgen en dan meteen af te werken tot speldenkussen.

And to encourage Spring I stitch in between also several "Spring" patterns, such as this one that I hope to complete today and also to finish off as a pincushion.

Ondertussen ben ik hard aan het nadenken over wat ik zal weggeven in de give away als ik 500 volgers heb :-)

I'm also thinking hard of what I'm going to give away when I have 500 followers :-)
