Cupcake with sprinkles

Wie lust nu geen cupcakes, ik vind ze heerlijk. Deze is ook nog eens versierd met sprinkles, dat maakt het helemaal feestelijk.

Who doesn't like cupcakes, I find them delicicous. This one even has sprinkles on it, which makes it quite festive.

Donderdag reden we even naar Het Breipunt (klik) om een draad-afdraaier te kopen. Marie-louise had er een van het merk Nancy's Knit Knacks die ik mooi vond. Hij heeft een speciale draadgeleider waardoor je hem ook makkelijk op de grond kunt zetten. Hij werkt heerlijk !

Last thursday we drove to a local yarnshop to pick up a yarn pet (love that word). Marie-louise, the owner, had a wonderful piece from Nancy's Knit Knacks and I realy love it. It works fantastic !

Mini Apricot Tart

Het 3e petit fourtje is een mini abrikozen vlaai, dit is ook een van de lekkerste Limburgse vlaaien die er is (zegt deze Limburgse). Wil je er nu zelf een bakken, HIER (klik) vond ik een goed recept.

Marlene petit four

De 2e petit four is vandaag gehaakt. Ik zou het zo op willen eten, deze "Marlene".

Today I crocheted the second petit four. I would like to eat it up, this "Marlene".

Grietje Karwietje vond de inspiratie voor dit petit fourtje bij deze taartenmaker (klik) en kreeg toestemming om het dezelfde naam te geven. Helaas is er geen recept van deze lekkernij.

Banoffee petit four

Het eerste petit fourtje is gehaakt. Zo ontzettend leuk om hier weer mee bezig te zijn. Mag ik u presenteren, de Banoffee.

The first petit four is made. It is so much joy to be busy with these again. May I present to you, the Banoffee.

De bananenschijfjes maak je een beetje bruin met sterke thee, zodat ze net echt lijken. Kun je niet haken, maar wil je een echte banoffee bakken, dan vind je HIER (klik) een lekker recept.

Hygge part 2

Deel 2 van de Hygge bestond uit het ophaken van een separator oftewel afscheidingslijn. Deze komt een aantal keren terug in de sjaal. Ik had geen moeite met het ophaken hiervan en hij stond er meteen de eerste keer goed op.

In part 2 of the Hygge we had to crochet a separator, which return in the scarf several times. I didn't had any trouble with it and I got it right the first time.

Daarna moest er geborduurd worden en ook dit gaf geen problemen, dan komt je ervaring als borduurster toch goed van pas. Morgen krijgen we het 3e deel en kan ik verder.

After that we had to cross stitch a part and that went well very good. My experience as cross stitcher comes handy. Tomorrow we get the next part.

Wie kent ze nog? De petit fours van een paar jaar geleden. Ze waren zo leuk om te maken !

Ik ben zo blij dat Grietje Karwietje besloten heeft om een nieuwe vervolg serie te gaan maken. Ze begint aanstaande vrijdag 3 maart en je kunt ze vinden op haar blog (klik).

Hazelnut mocha petit four

Vandaag dan het allerlaatste gebakje. Deze past uitstekend bij de herfst, het hazelnoot mokka petit fourtje. Vorige week zag ik op de kofferbakverkoop een ketting hangen, die allemaal bestond uit kralen die op hazelnootjes leken. Ik kocht de ketting en nu heb ik heel veel hazelnoot kraaltjes in 3 kleuren ;-)

Today its time for our last petit four. This one suites perfect with autumn, the hazelnut mocha petit four. Last week I found on the flea market a chain with beads that looked like hazelnuts. I bought the chain for and now I have many hazelnut beads in 3 colors ;-)

Wat waren ze leuk om te maken, alle 17 petit fourtjes en ik ben haast blij dat ik ze nu nogmaals mag gaan maken voor mijn dochter. De hazelnoot mokkataart is heerlijk en HIER  vind je een recept ervoor.

Cream cone with strawberry mousse

Bijna is het gedaan, dan zijn alle petit fourtjes gehaakt. Als voorlaatste is het roomhoorntje met aardbeienmousse aan de beurt.

Banana eclair

Dit is ook een van mijn favoriete gebakjes, de bananensoes en wat was deze leuk om te maken.

Lapis legit with green pandan

De schaal raakte zo vol, dat ik een andere uit de kast genomen heb. Zolang ik nog geen leuke etagere heb, mogen ze nu op deze glazen plaat blijven staan. Voor vandaag heb ik pandan spekkoek gemaakt. Ik moet bekennen dat ik er nog nooit van gehoord had, laat staan ervan geproeft.

The plate was so full, that I took another one. For as long I haven't found a nice etagere, this one is good. Today I made lapis legit with green pandan. I must confess that I never heard of it and never taste it.

Nu het echt herstweer geworden is, is het ook weer tijd om een paar truien te breien, want die kom ik enkele tekort. Het liefst brei ik met Egyptisch katoen, dat is zo lekker zacht. Wel brei ik altijd met dubbele draad op naalden 5,5. Deze keer heb ik gekozen om Katia Bombay (kleur 2007) te combineren met Online Linie 163 Bingo (kleur 23). Het rugpand is al bijna af.

Now that we have autumn weather, its time to knit some sweaters. My favorite yarn is Egyptian cotton, that is so soft. Most of the time I knit with two threads at the same time on needles 5,5. This time I choose Katia Bombay (color 2007) combined with Online Linie163 Bingo (color 23). I almost finished the back side.

Mini turban cake

De schaal raakt nu al aardig vol en als 13e gebakje is er een mini tulband gehaakt. Je zou er zo je tanden in willen zetten.

The plate is almost full and as the 13th cake I made the mini turban cake. I would love to bite a piece out if it.

Christmas petit four

Het duurt niet lang meer en dan staat de kerstboom alweer in huis. Een gezellige tijd; kaarsjes aan, de kerstboom die vol hangt met zelfgemaakte ornamentjes en de geur van zelfgebakken appeltaart. Bij de gebakjes die al op de schaal liggen, hoort dan ook een kerst petit fourtje.

Time flies and before you know it, the christmas tree is back in your house. A very cosy time; candles lit, the christmas tree hanging full with selfmade ornaments, the smell of homemade apple pie. On the plate with all the other there has to be a christmas petit four.

Tompouce with whipped cream

Het komt niet vaak voor dat ik 2x hetzelfde borduur/quilt/haak of brei, maar als je dochter kwijlend boven de petit fours hangt en zegt: "Mam wat zouden die mooi staan op mijn keuken- of kamertafel", dan zeg je niet snel nee. Ze krijgt op 1 november de sleutel van haar nieuwe huis waar ze samen met vriend gaat wonen en dus kan moeders nog een keer aan de slag met de haaknaald als de laatste is gehaakt.

Voor vandaag presenteer ik de mini tompouce met slagroom.

Its not often that I cross stitch/quilt/crochet or knit something twice, but if your daughter is drooling over the petit fours and says: "Mom they would be wonderful on my kitchen or dining table", then you can't say no. She's going to have the key of her new house on november 1 where she is moving into with her boyfriend and so I can make all the petit fours once again when I'm done with the last one.

Michiel is de laatste dagen bezig geweest met een patroon van Atelier Soed-Idee. Het was een werkje dat Jeannet thuis had liggen en waarop pas een paar steekjes gemaakt waren. Ze vroeg mij of ik het voor haar af wilde maken, maar Michiel was me voor omdat hij het zo'n leuk patroon vond. Hij had het binnen de korste keren voor Jeannet geborduurd.

My DH Michiel has been busy with a sampler (pattern from Atelier Soed-Idee). Jeannet ask me if I could make this for her, but when Michiel saw the pattern he wanted to make it for Jeannet, because he liked the pattern.

Vandaag gaan we op de roze tour met een Frambozen macaron. Zelf heb ik nog nooit geen macaron gegeten, maar als ik deze zo zie dan wordt dat hoog tijd.
