2017 Online Advent Calendar

(Nederlands onderaan dit bericht)

Welcome to day 16 of  the 2017 Online Advent Calendar hosted by Jo from Serendipitous Stitching (click).

I have stitch many Christmas ornaments, mostly by Little House Needleworks and Country Cottage Needleworks, but when you ask which ornament is your favorite, I don't have to think twice. That is Seasons greetings from Little House Needleworks. I think I like it so much because of the colors. For me red and green are the real Christmas colors ;-)

Jo ask us if we could answer this question: How do you plan to spend Boxing Day?  Do you have any traditions associated with this day?

In the Netherlands we don't speak of Boxing day, we call it Second Christmas day, so we have two holidays the 25th and 26th. Most of the time we celebrate this second day with family, just as the first Christmas day. In the afternoon we do all kind of board games and after that we eat together. Often when the weather is good, we go for a walk after dinner.

 Merry Christmas everyone.

=======================

This is for the Dutch readers, I explain what this Advent Blog Hop is ;-)

Verder kregen we de vraag hoe wij Boxing day doorbrengen, oftewel tweede kerstdag.
Later vandaag post ik een nieuw bericht met de inhoud van mijn advent kalenders.

Thank you for taking part in the Advent Calendar Blog Hop this year. I love the ornie you stitched. I quite agree about red and green. My tree ornaments are all red, green and gold with a little crystal too.
Second Christmas sounds like a Hobbit name, they have their Second Breakfast!

Hello from Jo's Advent hop! I love the colors in your stitch; I think red and green are the best Christmas colors too. And cardinals are very common here this time of year. I love to watch them at the bird feeder. :) Merry Christmas to you and yours!

No wonder hat you love this ornament best, it's so beautiful. I also have the pattern in my stash but still have to stitch it.
We also have two Christmas holidays here in Germany. The second has always been my favorite because we haver usually been at home relaxing, reading, playing games and me also stitching.
