Met kerst wordt er ook veel gebakken. Een kersttulband, kerstkoekjes, mince pies, de lekkerste recepten zie je voorbij komen. Ik zelf bak vaak wafels en een kerstbrood haal ik bij de bakker. Bak jij ook iets met kerst?

I do a bit of Christmas baking but I am trying to not bake as much because there are not many of us. I do not buy bakery normally. But sometimes a nice loaf of fancy bread as they are always softer than my homemade bread. I love your shawl.
Bakken doe ik ook maar met name gewoon simpele cake in een kerst of tulbandvorm, poedersuiker en mijn jongste die nog thuis woont kan smullen. Wij zijn Duitsland fan en daar worden ook de wafels gebakken rond kerst. Toevallig net met jongste besloten wij gaan ook zo'n wafelding kopen. Volgende week gaan we dagje shoppen dus dan zal het er wel van komen.
Ik zie ook weer heerlijke theetjes voorbij komen mmmm

I bake what is sometimes called a "Jewel Cake" - candied pineapple, dates, maraschino cherries and pecans held together with the barest minimum of batter. Only 20g of butter in the whole thing, but a good measure of rum. ;) I do love a classic fruitcake, though, but others make them better than I do, LOL.
