En dan het eerste blok van de Fairy sweet quilt. Ik maak eerst alle blokken en daarna leg ik ze pas in de goede volgorde van hoe ze in de quilt komen. Hoe uiteindelijk de quilt eruit komt te zien weet ik dus zelf ook nog niet.
Blok 1 heeft de naam gekregen: Nacht van de elfen. Zoals ik al vertelde krijgt elk blok een eigen gedichtje. Dat gedichtje ontstaat aan de hand van het blok. We (Michiel en ik) kijken waar het blok ons aan doet denken en zo ontstaat er een klein gedichtje. Dit blok bestaat uit 33 stukjes.

Van alle kanten komen elfjes aan,
het is elfennacht bij volle maan.
Ze dansen, zingen, drinken elfenwijn,
kon ik zelf maar een elfje zijn.
