Quiltclub block 1

Op de quiltclub waar ik lid van ben werd de vraag gesteld:
wat is je favoriete quiltblok en waarom?
Daarna mailde je een foto of tekening van het blok naar iemand toe met je verhaal erbij waarom je voor dit blok koos.
Nu krijgen we elke week een blok toegemailt dat iemand had ingestuurd met het verhaal erbij.
Deze week was het het favoriete blok van Jacqueline: Hands all around
Haar verhaal:
ik heb voor dit blok gekozen omdat het uit de Sylvia's Bridal sampler komt, het is mijn favoriete boek en quilt. In het boek staat het blok voor samenhorigheid en vriendschap. Ik koos voor dit blok omdat het voor mij ook symbool staat voor de vriendschap en samenhorigheid die we hier op de club vinden. Ik ga de blokken maken met hoofdzakelijk moda stofjes uit de serie nostalgia.

Then we must send it to one person and tell her why this was our favorite block.
Now she gives us once a week a quiltblock pattern that is favorite of a member and the story why.
This week it was the favorite block of Jacqueline: Hands all around
Her story:
this block comes from my favorite quilt, the Sylvia Bridal Quilt and it represents friendship and solidarity and that is what we find here in this Dutch quiltclub. I have made this block with some Moda fabric: nostalgia
