Januari van LHN is af

Vandaag heb ik de eerste maand afgekregen van Little House Needleworks: Januari.
Ik vind de kleuren ontzettend mooi, het garen van crescent colours zat bij het patroon ingesloten. Ik heb het geborduurd op 32 ct. jobelan die ik in sterke thee geverfd heb. Ik moet het nog afwerken tot pinkeep voor mijn kalender maar dat is voor later.

Today I finished the first month of LHN: January
I realy love how the colors turned out (threads are included with the pattern). I have stitched it on 32 ct. jobelan, dyed in strong tea. I still have to finish it of to a pinkeep for my calender, but that is for later.

Afgelopen maandag hebben we ook Yule gevierd. Dit jaar wel in het klein. 's Middags had Michiel zandkoekjes gemaakt  en daarbij de uitsteekvormpjes gebruikt die ik met mijn verjaardag van Saskia gekregen had.

Last Monday we also celebrated Yule. This year in small. In the afternoon Michiel had made shortbread cookies and used the cut-out shapes that I had received from Saskia on my birthday.

Na ons ritueel de Yule blokken verbrand in de vuurkorf, een heel apart plaatje met de sneeuw in de tuin maar ze branden in elk geval goed.

After our ritual the Yule blocks were burned in the fire pit, a very special picture with the snow in the garden but they burn well anyway.

Bowy genoot ook van het vuur (de warmte) en speelde volop met zijn bal in de sneeuw.

Bowy also enjoyed the fire (the heat) and played with his ball in the snow.
