More Scrappy Quilt socks

Het patroon de Scrappy Quilt sokken van Kay Jones is zo verslavend dat ik er inmiddels nog 3 paar van gebreid heb. Dat zijn dus 4 paar in totaal. In het vorige bericht konden jullie het eerste paar zien.
Paar 2 is gebreid met het garen van The woolly chicken, kleur Brian Boru's harp voor de boord, hak en teen en de mini set We Three Kings voor de strepen.

The Scrappy Quilt socks pattern from Kay Jones is so addictive that I have now knitted 3 more pairs. So that's 4 pairs in total. In the previous post you could see the first pair.
Pair 2 is knitted with the yarn from The woolly chicken, color Brian Boru's harp for the cuff, heel and toe and the mini set We Three Kings for the stripes.

Paar 3 werd gebreid met mini strengen van Therese Notenboom, ze doen misschien denken aan kerst maar ik dacht aan een rozentuin.

Pair 3 was knitted with mini skeins from Therese Notenboom, they may remind you of Christmas but I was thinking of a rose garden.

Paar 4 die ik gisteren af kreeg is gebreid met 4 mini strengen van Therese Notenboom en de hoofdkleur is van Maschenatelier uit Duitsland in de kleur Happiness.

Pair 4 that I finished yesterday is knitted with 4 mini skeins from Therese Notenboom and the main color is from Maschenatelier from Germany in the color Happiness.

Op 30 mei werd onze middelste kleindochter Yara 4 jaar. De tijd gaat echt snel. We vierden haar verjaardag op zondag 2 juni.

On May 30, our middle granddaughter Yara turned 4 years old. Time goes really fast. We celebrated her birthday on Sunday, June 2.

De dag ervoor hadden we op de andere twee kleindochters gepast, want hun ouders gingen samen met vrienden bowlen en uit eten. Lana en Loïs wilden ook wel leren bowlen, dus opa zocht wat lege flessen bij elkaar en de kindjes hadden uren speel plezier.

The day before we had babysat the other two granddaughters as their parents went bowling and out to dinner with friends. Lana and Loïs also wanted to learn to bowl, so Grandpa gathered up some empty bottles and the children had hours of fun.

Afgelopen zaterdag 8 juni was het KIP dag (Knitting In Public - breien in het openbaar). Wereldwijd gaan mensen breien in de openlucht, dat kan zijn in een park, bij een theetuin, bij wolwinkels of waar dan ook. Ik was, net als vorig jaar, bij Tante Tuttebol (te zien hier vooraan op de foto).

Last Saturday, June 8, it was KIP day (Knitting In Public). People all over the world start knitting in the open air, which can be in a park, at a tea garden, at wool shops or anywhere else. Just like last year, I was at Tante Tuttebol (seen here at the front of the photo).

Ik heb deze middag gewerkt aan een aantal granny squares met garen dat ze ons gaf. We gaan met de granny squares namelijk de boom versieren die buiten voor de winkel staat.

I worked on some granny squares this afternoon with yarn she gave us. We are going to decorate the tree outside the store with the granny squares.

De boekenlijst aan de rechterkant is ook weer bijgewerkt. Ik heb boek 2 en 3 van de Thorndale serie van Suzanne Snow gelezen die echt mooi zijn en ook boek 2 uit de Verloren dochters serie, De Cubaanse dochter van Soraya Lane was schitterend om te lezen.

The book list on the right has also been updated. I have read books 2 and 3 of the Welcome to Thorndale series by Suzanne Snow which are really beautiful and also book 2 of the Lost Daughters series, The Cuban Daughter by Soraya Lane was wonderful to read.

Verder kwam vorige week ook de 2e zending van het jaar binnen met de Opal ABO, ook ditmaal weer hele mooie kleuren.
Zelf ga ik nu eerst verder om de vierde kleur aan de reading Corner cowl te breien die ik hopelijk volgende keer kan laten zien in een nieuw berichtje.

Furthermore, last week the 2nd shipment of the year arrived with the Opal ABO, again very beautiful colors.
I will now continue to knit the fourth color to the reading Corner cowl, which I can hopefully show in a new message next time.
