Afgelopen zaterdag 6 maart om 00.42 uur is onze derde kleindochter geboren. Ze is het zusje van de nu 15 maanden oude Lana en ze heet Loïs.
Last Saturday March 6 at 00.42 our third granddaughter was born. She is the sister of the now 15 month old Lana and her name is Loïs.
Vrijdagavond reed Michiel er om 21.15 uur heen (uiteraard met een vrijstelling voor de avondklok), want ze moesten zich om 22.30 uur melden in het ziekenhuis, omdat haar weeën om 21 uur begonnen waren.
On Friday evening, Michiel drove there at 9:15 PM (with an exemption from the curfew, of course), because they had to report to the hospital at 10:30 PM, because her contractions had started at 9:00 PM.
Lana zou bij ons blijven slapen. Om 01.00 uur kregen we bericht dat Loïs om 00.42 uur geboren was. Het was weer net zo'n snelle bevalling als met Lana, vandaar ook dat zij zich zo vroeg moest melden in het ziekenhuis.
Lana would spend the night with us. At 01.00 am we received a message that Loïs was born at 00.42 am. The delivery was just as fast as with Lana, which is why she had to report to the hospital so early.
Om 02.30 uur kregen we telefoon dat Michiel ze op kon halen in het ziekenhuis om terug naar huis te brengen. De kraamhulp ging ook mee.
At 2.30 am we received a phone call that Michiel could pick them up at the hospital to bring them back home. The maternity assistant also came along.
Lana was uit haar bed gehaald toen ze naar het ziekenhuis gingen en was klaarwakker toen ze bij ons kwam 's avonds, dus ze mocht nog eventjes opblijven voordat ze weer terug naar bed ging.
Lana had been taken out of bed when they went to the hospital and was wide awake when she came to us in the evening, so she was allowed to stay up for a while before going back to bed.
We hadden afgesproken dat we Lana pas rond 17 uur zouden brengen de volgende dag, zodat papa en mama eventjes tijd samen hadden met Loïs. Dus wij hebben de hele dag gespeeld met Lana die dat reuze gezellig vond.
We agreed that we would not bring Lana until around 5 pm the next day, so that Mum and Dad had some time together with Loïs. So we played all day with Lana who really enjoyed it.
En zaterdagmiddag was het dan eindelijk zover dat Lana haar zusje Loïs voor het eerst zag.
And Saturday afternoon it was finally time for Lana to see her sister Loïs for the first time.

Een mooi meisje met bolle wangetjes. Lana zal haar ook wel leuk vinden, over een jaar kunnen ze samen gezellig spelen.
