A few shawls on the needles

Gisteren was het stormachtig weer en vandaag schijnt weer de zon. Niets zo veranderlijk als het weer. Een paar dagen geleden, toen het ook zo mooi weer was, heb ik nog enkele foto's in de tuin gemaakt.

Yesterday was stormy weather and today the sun is shining again. Nothing as changeable as the weather. A few days ago, when the weather was nice, I took some pictures in the garden.

Als het lekker weer is dan zit ik graag buiten te breien. Vorige week was ik even bezig met dit garen om te zien of het patroon wat ik ervoor in gedachte had, ook mooi zou uitkomen.

When the weather is nice, I like to knit outside. Last week I was busy with this yarn to see if the pattern I had in mind would come out nicely.

Dit is een streng Alpaca Merino (50% licht grijs baby alpaca en 50% extra fine merino) die ik kocht bij Het Wolbeest enige tijd terug. De kleur is Summer Love.

This is a skein Alpaca Merino (50% light gray baby alpaca and 50% extra fine merino) that I bought from "Het Wolbeest" some time ago. The color is Summer Love.

Het patroon dat ik in gedachte had is  de Close To You sjaal van Justyna Lorkowska. Het patroon staat gratis op Ravelry en ik denk dat de kleur van het garen er wel geschikt voor is.

The pattern that I had in mind was the Close To You shawl by Justyna Lorkowska. The pattern is free on Ravelry and I think this color will work with the pattern.

Het eerste patroon Sea Gleam ga ik breien in deze twee kleuren: New Beginning en Dark Nights Moonstone, beide van Craftfulness (spoil base).

Het patroon is eenvoudig en heerlijk te breien. Je hoeft er amper bij na te denken.

The pattern is simple and wonderful to knit. You hardly have to think about it.

Ook brei ik tussendoor aan de Make Your Own Luck by Lisa K. Ross. Het garen dat ik hiervoor gebruik komt ook van Het Wolbeest, een volle streng van 100 gram en haar Winter is Coming 3 pakket met 10 mini strengetjes. Na kleur 4 ....

was het tijd om kleur 5 (de roze) eraan te breien. Dit gedeelte is nu ook klaar en ik kan verder met kleur 6.
