Test message

 Ik ben even aan het testen of de nieuwe button ook werkt.
In mijn vorig bericht schreef ik dat de widget "Follow by email" gaat verdwijnen.
Vond jij het handig om een email te krijgen als er een nieuw bericht geschreven was, dan kan dat nu weer wel, want ik heb een andere button geplaatst. Deze is van "Follow it" (aan de rechterkant te vinden). Voor diegene die een email willen ontvangen,  moeten zich wel even opnieuw abonneren via de button.
Ik zie verder geen gegevens van jullie, het is alleen voor jezelf om een email te krijgen bij een nieuwe post van mij.

Diary April 12 - May 10

Ik zag dat mijn laatste blogpost op 11 april was, de weken lijken voorbij te vliegen. Elke dag neem ik me voor om een berichtje te schrijven en steeds komt er iets tussen. Maar vandaag ga ik even alles noteren wat er zoal gedaan is de laatste weken.

I saw that my last blog post was on April 11, the weeks seem to fly by. Every day I promise to write a message and something comes up every time. But today I'm going to write down everything that has been done in recent weeks.

De widget FollowByEmail (Feedburner) gaat verdwijnen. Dit betekent dat iedereen die zich aangemeld heeft om een email met update te krijgen als er een nieuwe blogpost wordt geschreven, dit vanaf juli 2021 komt te vervallen. Wat best wel jammer is, want ik vond het wel handig dat ik een email kreeg als iemand een nieuwe post geschreven had.

The FollowByEmail (Feedburner) widget will disappear. This means that anyone who has signed up to receive an update email when a new blog post is written will expire from July 2021. Which is a shame, because I found it useful to receive an email when someone wrote a new post.

12 april:

Onze vorige honden trokken zich er niets van aan als de tv aan stond, maar we zijn er achter gekomen dat Mees het juist heel interessant vind. Vind hij het programma leuk, dan blijft hij gewoon zitten kijken (de lichtbruine strook onder de tvkast is karton zodat Mees zijn speelgoed er niet onder kan rollen).

April 12:
Our previous dogs didn't care if the TV was on, but we found out that Mees finds it very interesting. If he likes the program, he will just sit and watch (the light brown strip under the TV cabinet is cardboard so that Mees cannot roll his toys under it).

 

13 april:

Deel 2 van de Caladenia Shawl MKAL is af. Het mosaic werk neemt veel tijd in beslag.

14 april:
Vandaag kwam het prachtige garen van Maschenatelier uit Duitsland binnen, super mooie kleuren. Kan niet wachten om deze te gaan gebruiken in sokken of sjaals.

April 14:
Today the beautiful yarn came in from Maschenatelier from Germany, such wonderful colors. Can't wait to knit socks or shawls with these.

 

15 april:

Vandaag mag mijn zoon Niels 37 kaarsjes uitblazen. Waar blijft de tijd !

Today my son Niels can blow out 37 candles. Where has the time gone !

 

Ook kreeg ik het tweede verrassingspakket binnen van The Log Cabin. Alles zit in het pakket om deze quilt te maken, zelfs de tussenvulling en achterkantstof. Ook een prachtig boek waar het patroon in staat en nog vele andere mooie patronen.

I also received the second surprise package from quilt shop The Log Cabin. Everything is included to make this quilt, even the batting and backing fabric. Also a beautiful book that has the pattern in it and many more.

19 april:
De April Harry Potter Mysterie set van Nicole C Mendez kwam ook binnen. Dit is een 3 maanden abonnement met zelfstrepend garen. De kleur deze maand is Vault 687 en ik vind de kleuren weer heel  mooi.

April 19:
The April Harry potter Mystery set from N icole C Mendez came. This is a 3 month subscription of selfstriping yarn. The color this month is Vault 687 and the colors are lovely again. 

Ik heb het garen tot een bol opgedraaid zodat je een beetje ziet hoe het streeppatroon verloopt.

I wind the yarn to a ball so you can see how the stripe pattern will be.

22 april:
Deel 3 is ook weer klaar van de Caladenia Shawl MKAL. Opnieuw een deel mosiac te breien.

23 april:
Vandaag start de Oh Happy Wrap MKAL van Maliha designs en in mijn voorraad vond ik deze kleuren die ik ga gebruiken.
Garen: Stardust (lichtgrijs) van Maschenatelier. Darkness (donkergrijs) van Irish Fairytale yarns. Mini strengen van Dutch wool diva.

April 23:
Today starts the Oh Happy Wrap MKAL from Maliha designs and I found these colors in my stash that I'm going to use.
Yarn: Stardust (light grey) from Maschenatelier. Darkness (dark grey) from Irish Fairytale yarns. Mini skeins from Dutch wool diva.

26 april:

Een paar keer per week gaan we naar de honden uitlaatplaats waar Mees even kan rondrennen en soms speelt hij daar met andere honden. Hier met Tess, een Duitse herder, die tegenover ons woont.

A few times a week we go to the dog walking area where Mees can run around and sometimes he plays with other dogs. Here with Tess, a German Shepherd, who lives across the street from us.

 

28 april:
Bijna halverwege met het mosaic breien van de Oh Happy Wrap MKAL van Maliha designs.

Het was een paar dagen heel mooi weer en waar is Mees dan te vinden? Juist ... buiten op zijn deken.

Mees is vanmiddag voor het eerst naar de kleuterklas bij Hondenschool School4Dogs geweest. Dat wordt nog heel veel oefenen. 

April 30:
Mees went this afternoon to the puppy course for the first time. That will be a lot of practice.

 

2 mei:
De dag van het dubbelfeest. 16 jaar getrouwd en dochter Lindy mag vandaag 35 kaarsjes uitblazen.

May 2:
The day of the double party. Married for 16 years and dear daughter Lindy can blow out 35 candles today.

 

 

3 mei:
Deel 4 van de Caladenia Shawl MKAL is nu ook af en inmiddels ben ik druk bezig met het laatste deel, wat de nodige tijd in beslag neemt.

 7 mei:
Bezig met een picot afkanting van de Caladenia Shawl MKAL. Het einde is in zicht.

9 mei:

Ik heb onder de tafel een voetenbankje staan waar ik mijn voeten op zet als ik zit te breien. Maar soms is dit voetenbankje al bezet door iemand.

I have a footstool under the table were I put my feet on when I'm knitting. But sometimes this footstool is already occupied by someone.  

 

10 mei:

Waar ik overdag zit, daar is Mees ook te vinden. Afgelopen vrijdag zijn we voor de 2e keer naar de kleuterklas geweest en hij begint het nu  te snappen. Thuis oefenen we elke dag en sinds vandaag doet hij nu ook op handcommando zitten en liggen. Hij leert best snel deze deugniet.

 

Where I sit during the day, Mees can also be found there. Last Friday we went to the puppy course for the 2nd time and he is now starting to understand. At home we practice every day and since today he now also sits and lies down on hand command. He learns pretty quickly  this rascal. 

 

Caladenia shawl and snow

Op 2 april begon de Caladenia Shawl MKAL, een mystery knit along van Ambah O'Brien. In mijn voorraad vond ik 4 kleuren die ik hiervoor wilde gebruiken.

On april 2 the Caladenia Shawl MKAL, een mystery knit along van Ambah O'Brien started. In my stock I found 4 colors that I wanted to use for this. 

De groenen en paarse zijn van Irish Fairytale yarns en de hele lichte is van Marianthi yarns in de kleur Parfait. Op donderdag had ik het eerste deel af, net op tijd want vrijdag kregen we deel 2.

The greens and purple are from Irish Fairytale yarns and the very light one is from Marianthi yarns in color Parfait. On Thursday I finished the first part, just in time because on Friday we got part 2. 

En dan hadden we op 6 en 7 april ineens sneeuw, niet een beetje, maar echt een paar centimeter dik. En wie denk je had de meeste pret? Mees ! Die kon er geen genoeg van krijgen. Ik heb de hele dag voor portier gespeeld, want Mees wilde buiten, binnen, buiten, binnen .... als een klein kind zo blij was hij. Klopt ook wel, want hij is nog steeds een pup van nu 15 weken.

And then on April 6 and 7 we suddenly had snow, not just a little, but really a few centimeters thick. And who do you think had the most fun? Mees! He couldn't get enough of it. I played as a doorman all day, because Mees wanted outside, inside, outside, inside .... happy like a small child. That's right, because he is still a puppy of 15 weeks now.

Mees groeit echt goed en hij gaat 30 april naar de kleuterklas (puppy cursus), die nu weer gestart zijn na een tijd dicht geweest te zijn door corona.

Mees is growing really well and he will go to kindergarten (puppy course) on April 30, which have now started again after having been closed for a while due to corona.

Afgelopen week was het heerlijk weer dus we brachten veel tijd door buiten. Mees geniet ervan om in het zonnetje te liggen of te zitten.

Last week the weather was lovely so we spent a lot of time outside. Mees enjoys lying or sitting in the sun.

Elke dag worden er (nu nog) kleine wandelingen gemaakt, hij is nu 14 weken, dus mag hij een wandeling van ongeveer 14 minuten maken. 1 week leeftijd staat aan 1 minuut wandelen.

Small walks are (still) taken every day, he is now 14 weeks old, so he can take a walk of about 14 minutes. 1 week of age means 1 minute of walking.

Ook gaan we regelmatig naar het honden uitlaatveld aan het einde van de straat. Dit is volledig omheind en hier kan hij even wat rennen of spelen met andere honden als die er zijn. Dit vind hij zelf super leuk.

We also regularly go to the dog exercise field at the end of the street. This is completely fenced in and here he can run or play with other dogs if there are any. He really likes this.

 

 Van dit alles wordt je natuurlijk wel heel erg moe, dus er worden overdag ook veel dutjes gedaan.

 

 Of course you get very tired from all this, so there are also many naps during the day.
