ligt Bowy te dromen van zijn mandjes tennisballen.

Bowy is dreaming of his baskets tennis balls.

Time flies ...

De tijd vliegt voorbij, 

Time flies away,

als je mandjes aan het maken bent.

En voor je het weet, 
is er weer een groot blok van 16 mandjes klaar !

And before you know it,

are made from fabrics with flowers.

Waarom? 

Why? 

Gewoon ... omdat ik van bloemen hou. 

Because ... I just love flowers.

Zo simpel kan het soms zijn.

Af en toe krijg ik te horen dat iemand wil reageren op mijn blog, maar dat dit om de een of andere reden niet gaat.

Once in awhile I get an email from someone that says she can't give a comment on my blog.

Nu heb ik zelf totaal geen idee hoe dit komt, want het merendeel heeft geen problemen met een reactie te plaatsen. Weet iemand waar het aan kan liggen?

I realy don't know how this happens or what the problem is that they don't can write a comment. Does anybody know what I can do about it?

 

Gisteren heb ik ook weer de nodige mandjes gemaakt, waaronder dit rozenmandje dat geappliceerd is op een achtergrondje met vlinders.

Yesterday I made again some baskets, such as this rose basket that I appliqued on a background with butterflies. 

Normaal maak ik niet snel een quilt waar ik tig keer hetzelfde motief moet maken, maar deze mandjes blijven leuk om te doen.

Normaly I don't make quilts where I constant have to make the same block, but these baskets stay fun to make.

Second block of baskets

Ook gisteren ben ik weer druk geweest met mandjes maken.

Yesterday I was again busy with making some baskets.

Het is zo leuk om steeds hetzelfde mandje te zien maar dan gemaakt met een ander stofje.

Its so nice to see the same basket made with a different fabric.

Er moesten 5 mandjes gemaakt worden (het blauwe gestreepte mandje had ik in het begin al gemaakt), zodat ik ...

I had to make 5 baskets (the blue stripe one I made in the beginning), so I could ...

weer 16 mandjes aan elkaar kon zetten tot een groot blok. Bowy vond het wel lekker om de mandjes als dekentje te gebruiken, want hij kwam net uit bad.

More baskets

Nu het borduurwerk af is, heb ik weer meer tijd om mandjes te maken.

Now that my cross stitch piece is finished, I have more time for the baskets.

Zo werden er 's middags weer 4 geappliceerd.

In the afternoon I appliquéd 4 baskets.

's Avonds werd er vol spanning The Voice UK gekeken, terwijl mijn applicatie naald zijn werk deed.

In the evening we watch The Voice UK, but in the mean time my applique needle did his job.

Met als resultaat ook 's avonds weer 4 mandjes af.

With 4 more baskets as a result.

My Needle's Work

Gisteravond om half 11 maakte ik het laatste steekje van My Needle's Work van Little House Needleworks. Ik denk dat ik er in totaal zo'n 16-17 uur aan geborduurd heb. 

Last night at 10.30 pm I made the last stitch on My Needle's Work from Little House Needleworks. I think my total stitch time was about 16-17 hours.

 Fabric: 32 ct. vintage mocha belfast linen

Threads: Classic Colorworks as charted.

's Middags was er even tijd om weer 2 mandjes te maken. Nu het borduurwerk klaar is, heb ik weer meer tijd voor de mandjes ;-)

In the afternoon I had time to made 2 baskets. Now that my cross stitch piece is finished, I have more time again for my baskets ;-)

Baskets and pink flowers

Gistermiddag weer 2 mandjes gemaakt voor de Baskets for you quilt van Sue Daley. Ik hoop niet dat het saai begint te worden, want er moeten nog heel veel mandjes gemaakt worden ;-)

Yesterday afternoon I made again 2 more baskets for the Baskets for you quilt from Sue Daley. I hope I don't bore you with these, because I have to make many more baskets ;-)

Daarna heb ik 16 mandjes aan elkaar gemaakt, zodat de linker bovenhoek van de quilt nu in elkaar staat. Er komen 12 rijen van 12 mandjes met in het midden een applicatieblok, zodat de quilt ruim 150 x 150 cm. wordt.

Then I sewed 16 baskets together, zo the left cornet of the quilt is ready. There will be 12 rows of 12 baskets with in the middel a applique block. This way the quilt will be 60" x 60 ".

Gisteravond heb ik uiteraard weer geborduurd aan My Needle's Work van LHN. Links en rechts van de borduurster staan nu prachtige roze bloemen te bloeien. Ook heb ik al een klein stukje van de border gedaan.

Last night I stitched again on My Needle's Work from LHN. Left and right of the needlework lady there are beautiful pink flowers blooming. I also stitched a little part of the border on the bottom.

Gistermiddag had ik niet zoveel tijd, maar toch heb ik 2 mandjes kunnen maken voor de Baskets for you quilt van Sue Daley.

Yesterday afternoon I didn't had much time, but I manage to make 2 more baskets for the Baskets for you quilt from Sue Daley.

's Avonds was het weer tijd om te werken aan My Needle's Work van LHN en het borduren ging zo lekker dat de borduurster er inmiddels helemaal op staat.

In the evening it was time to work on My Needle's Work from LHN and it was going so well, that I finished the needleworker lady when I got to bed.

Michiel werkte 's middags even in de tuin. De bak waar de groenten binnenkort in geplant gaan worden, moest even onder handen genomen worden en Bowy hield alles goed in de gaten.

Michiel worked in the afternoon in the garden. The place where we are going to plant our vegetables had to cleaned out and Bowy kept his eyes on all the work that had to be done.

Baskets and a rooster

Gisteren zijn er weer 4 mandjes bij gekomen.

Yesterday I made again 4 baskets.

Elk mandje wordt van een ander stofje gemaakt.

For each basket I use a different fabric.

Gisteren was het 1 april dus moest er ook begonnen met My Needle's Work van Little House Needleworks. Ik doe dit als SAL samen met enkele Amerikaanse dames. Ik ga het borduren op 32 ct. Vintage Beige Belfast linnen.

Yesterday it was april 1, so I had to start with My Needle's Work from Little House Needleworks. I do this one as a SAL with some American ladies. I'm going to stitch it on 32 ct. Vintage Mocha Belfast linen.

Dit patroon is alleen als threadpack verkrijgbaar, dus patroon met het garen. Gisteravond kreeg ik het schilderij met de haan af.

This pattern is only to buy as threadpack, so the pattern with threads. Last night I stitched the frame with the rooster.

Gisteren kwam ook het garen binnen dat ik weer besteld had bij Nina's Threads (klik). Ik blijf haar garen erg mooi vinden. 

Yesterday I got my threads that I ordered again by Nina's Threads (click). Her threads are so beautiful.

 

Vooral het blauw (Old Jeans) en het rood (Chili) zijn mijn favoriet en die gebruik ik regelmatig in borduurwerkjes.

 Especially the blue (Old Jeans) and the red (Chili) are my favorite and I use them regularly in my stitchings.
