Harvest Time CAL wool

Afgelopen vrijdagmiddag zijn we nog naar het Breipunt in Stiphout gereden om garen te halen voor de Harvest Time CAL deken die 26 september begint op de FB groep Cuddle Me blanket (klik), een ontwerp van Mr. Cey.

Last friday afternoon we went to the yarnshop Breipunt in Stiphout to buy some wool for the Harvest Time CAL blanket that starts september 26 on the FB group Cuddle Me blanket (click), a design by Mr. Cey. The pattern will be  translated in English too. 

Officieel wordt hij in 5 kleuren gemaakt in een soort van Trip around the world patroon, maar ik heb gekozen voor 11 verschillende herfstkleuren en ga hem als een scrap patroon maken. Alle kleurtjes door elkaar, een echte lapjes deken ;-)

The original design will be made in 5 colors in a Trip around the world pattern, but I bought 11 different autumn colors and I'm going to use a sort of scrap pattern. All blocks mixed, no real pattern, like a real scrap blanket ;-)

Ik heb gekozen voor Breipunt Supersoft, dit is 100% wol, een klassiek 2-ply garen in zuiver scheerwol. Het garen voelt wat stug aan doordat er nog wat spinolie in zit, maar na het wassen is dit garen super zacht. Bovendien is het in heel veel kleuren te verkrijgen (klik HIER). Van elke kleur heb ik 2 bollen gekocht, totaal dus 22 bollen. Voor de rand ga ik later terug als ik weet in welke kleur ik die ga maken.

I bought Breipunt Supersoft, this is 100% wool, a classic 2 ply yarn in pure wool. The yarn feels a bit stiff because of the spin oil, but after a bath the yarn will be very soft. I like it that this yarn can be bought in many colors (click HERE). I bought 2 balls of each color, a total of 22 balls. I didn't buy for the border because I still don't know in what color I will be making that.

Nadat we het garen gekocht hadden, zijn we even bij vriendin Trees aangegaan, want zij had enige tijd terug Ullcentrum wol gekocht, maar had er nog niets mee gedaan. 

After we bought the wool, we went to my friend Trees, because she had bought some time ago Ullcentrum wool and didn't used it for something.

Ze wilde wel graag een omslagdoek, maar ze haakt zelf niet. Ik nam het vrijdag dan ook mee en begon aan een omslagdoek voor haar. Gisteravond was hij klaar. Hij is inmiddels geblockt en ligt te drogen. Als hij droog is, zal ik wat foto's maken.

She wanted a shawl, but she doesn't crochet. So I took the wool with me and started friday evening. Last night the shawl was finished. This morning I gave it a eucalan bath and blocked it. When it is dry I will make some pictures.
