Gisteravond heb ik de laatste steekjes gezet aan Lavender Hill van Little House Needleworks. Het patroon is niet zo groot, namelijk 79 x 78 steekjes dus het werkje past perfect in een lijstje van 18 x 18 cm. wat ik inmiddels klaar heb liggen om te schilderen. Ik ga het een roomwitte kleur geven.
Last night I finished Lavender Hill van Little House Needleworks. The design is not so big, just 79 x 78 stitches, so it fits perfect in a frame I have ready for it. It just needs a little white/creamy paint.
Fabric: 28 ct ivory jobelan
Threads: DMC as charted and chenille for the sheep
Als je naar de schaapjes kijkt dan zie je dat ze een wollig uiterlijk hebben. Ik heb ze namelijk geborduurd met chenil garen van Hand Dyed Fibers (dunste uitvoering). Dit is geen gemakkelijk garen om mee te borduren maar het eindresultaat vind ik geweldig.
If you look at the sheep you see they look very woolly. That is because I stitched them with chenille thread from Hand Dyed Fibers (light version). It is not a easy thread to stitch with but the result is amazing.

oh Wow! those sheep are adorable, i have been meaning to add this to the top of my lhn must stitch rota, but i would love to have some of that chenille thread, the sheep look so fluffy!

Wat een schatje is het weer geworden. Komt deze ook op jullie lavendeltoilet te hangen? Ik heb in het verleden ook wel eens met zulk pluizig garen gewerkt. Is lastig om te verwerken, maar geeft zeker een lekker wollig effect.
